Professional background:One of Tilman Eckloff’s high school activities was participation in adolescent education. He was trained to be a youth group leader, and as such he helped in the organization of a work camp called ECOTOPIA in the Pyrenees. For several years he was also a leader of a children’s group affiliated to the “Bund für Umwelt und Naturschutz”. After high school, he worked for one and a half years in the south of France for the CIEPAD Organization in the areas of Agriculture, Education and Environmental Technology. After his return to Germany he left for the Brazilian rainforest, where he organized and managed a three-month-long seminar on sustainable agriculture. Parallel to his university classes, he started working as a freelance coach in Children’s and Adolescents’ Education, specializing in Intercultural Learning, Conflict Mediation and

Education towards Democracy. He is a professional trainer of the betzavta - program for education towards democracy and tolerance, which was developed at the Adam-Institute in Jerusalem. In addition, he is a member of the applicant selection team of an organization distributing development aid. For one year, he also served as a mentor to newly immigrated adolescents. From January 2002 to February 2005, he absolved the first part of a training to be a Body - Psychotherapist at the “Lübecker Institut für Tiefenpsychologische Körpertherapie". During a six months’ apprenticeship at osb international, Tilman Eckloff participated in projects concerning Change Management processes in complex organizations.
