13. Interdisciplinary Colloqium:
Respect Transdisciplinary perspectives in digital times
15th March 2024,
Gästehaus der Universität Hamburg, Rothenbaumchaussee 34, 20148 Hamburg
Deadline for Paper submission/registration: 01. February 2024
The RespectResearchGroup (RRG) invites young researchers (MA students, doctoral candidates and postdocs) from all disciplines to exchange views on the concept of respect across transdisciplinary boundaries. This year's colloquium focuses on transdisciplinarity and questions of respect and how these are influenced by the digital world. As an interactive kickoff, a respect room will make questions of respect tangible and discussable (more at www.respektraum.org). The colloquium offers an open exchange of ideas and questions in order to jointly develop stimulating multidisciplinary perspectives for our individual research questions. The presentations can depict research projects at any stage, from the initial idea or a "work in progress" to the draft article (approx. 20 min + 20 min discussion).
The RespectResearchGroup (RRG) is an interdisciplinary research group and think tank for young academics, whose research interests touch upon and culminate in the topic of respect. We are located on the premises of the University of Hamburg but cooperate nationally and internationally with researchers from various institutions. Besides offering coworking spaces to PhD students, we also provide a network for academic exchange, feedback, and inspiration. We are open to new members who would like to actively engage in this research community. The colloquium offers a good opportunity to get to know us. You can find more at: https://www.respectresearchgroup.org , if you have any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch. The Event is supported by the Stiftung Weltweite Wissenschaft: Gästehaus der Universität Hamburg, ZÖSS: Zentrum für Ökonomische und Soziologische Studien, and the FWO-project "The Epistemology of Big Data: Mathematics and the Critical Research Agenda on Data Practices".
